Your data
The law on data has changed under the GDPR regulations and it’s important for me to tell you what I do with people’s information. I was the only employee who touched it until June 2018 when I engaged Lindsay Woolf as a virtual PA and she doesn’t store the info. I use Google Mail for my email and I use HubSpot for customer relationship management. If you wish to inspect the data I hold on you I will send it on as soon as is practicable; if you want Clapperton Media Associates to “forget” you electronically, please let me know and I will delete everything other than invoices, receipts and anything that may need to be kept for HMRC’s purposes. Or if you have unpaid invoices in which case you’re damned right I won’t forget.
If you contact me and send details, I’ll note that you’re interested in what I do and may send you occasional updates and offers. I don’t currently maintain a newsletter list and have no immediate plans to do so; if that changes and you’re in my CRM system I will ask permission before adding you to any such list. If you’re a client or have been one over the last couple of years I will almost certainly drop you a note to ask how things are going if we haven’t been in touch for a year. I never sell people’s details on to third parties. Ever. Some of the organisations to whom I link on these pages – Twitter, Amazon, whoever – might well do, and you need to be aware of this if handing your information over to them.
Clapperton Media Associates is registered with the Office of Data Protection and carries public liability and professional indemnity insurance as you are entitled to expect.
